Today in the ancient world...:
-Sparta- Diamastigosis: The annual contests; in the main forum, young men volunteer for a test of strength, pride, and will, as we see which can take the most severe flogging. Helot Rebellion: Slaves found to be assisting the countryside rebellion are to be killed on sight. Carneian Festival: The nine day festival to Apollo approaches in a fortnight. Sacrifice to your patron gods.
-Athens- Egyptian emissaries arrive in Athens, pleading for assistance in their rebellion against the Persians. The Athenians do not seem particularly receptive. Elections: Taking place to appoint new chief city officials and generals. In addition, a new tragedy requires actors before its performance near the Acropolis.
-Persia- Corinth: The fall of Corinth, the third strongest Greek citystate, gives an opportunity for celebration in Persepolis. King Xerxes demands a three day festival in his honor; he also sends four messengers to the two remaining cities - Athens and Sparta, expecting surrender. Corinthian slaves to be brought in within the next week.

It has been over one hundred years time since the civil wars of Caesar, Pompey, Antony, and Octavian destroyed the Roman Republic. Now, in the year 55 AD, the mighty Roman Empire stands in dominance over the Mediterranean World and most of Europe, it's borders reaching from the sands of Persia to the shores of Britannia. It is a time of peace in Rome--the Pax Romana--as the Caesars have brought great wealth to the world's largest city and created an unstoppable military force.
Now, however, that peace has been threatened. After fifteen years of ruling over a Roman golden age, Emperor Claudius Sabucius Augustus Caesar has been poisoned and is now on his deathbed, delirious and unable to make many coherent statements, but still alive. Without having appointed an heir, having only married a younger wife a short time ago, Rome is on the brink of civil war once more as various individuals step forward to lay claim to the Imperial Throne. The man who secretly poisoned the emperor, an ambitious aristocrat named Camillus Dexsius of the Julii, has begun courting followers to support his bid to become Caesar and reinstate the Julii family to the Imperial throne. Manius Leontius Sabucius, the nephew and pupil of the dying emperor, has also stepped forward with ambitions for the throne. Various generals and senators have expressed interest too, with some senators plotting this as the perfect time to overthrow the Empire and return to a Republic.
Meanwhile, as Rome is in turmoil, the provinces are beginning to act up too. Barbarian tribes to the north and client kings throughout the provinces see this as the perfect time to assert their authority and independence from Rome. This has led to disruptions in trade and travel as the outer reaches of the empire become unstable.
While the elite wait for the emperor to die, the people of Rome continue about their daily lives, many of them ignoring the political turmoil for now. Eventually, though, everyone from the lowest slave to the highest senator will need to choose a side in this battle over who will become Emperor of all Rome and thus the most powerful man in the world.
What will happen? Will the bloodthirsty Camillus succeed in his quest for the Imperial Throne, or will Manius be able to take power? Or will one of the powerful generals of the Roman Military or rhetorical geniuses of the Roman Senate manage to sneak in? Will the republicans manage to step forward and overthrow the empire altogether? Will rebellions in Greece, Egypt, and Judea be able to be kept down at the same time that barbarians in Gaul and Germania begun raiding into Roman territory? Who will rule Rome?
You decide. Senators, slave, generals, infantry, barbarians, citizens, merchants, travelers, and all of the Roman World have a part to play in Aeterna Roma.

Welcome to Existance where time starts again and memories are made. The year is 2059 and the Cullens have once more returned to Forks, Washington for Charlie's Funeral. It has been 53 years since the Cullens left the town of Forks along with Jacob Black. Years have passed and people who were once children have moved out of forks and moved on with their lives. While those who remain have left their children to Forks High School and forgotten all about the Cullens. Days pass and Bella decides that she would love to settle down here for a few years. They have all changed their alias to those of others. But what happens to those children of the once well known Shapeshifters? Now that the Cullens have returned will they begin to change? And what about the mysterious vampires that have been found lurking in the woods since the return? Friend or Foe. You decide.
In The New Colonies, Hollow and Echo were one. This mega clan ruled fairly and justly from OakFell Castle. The GreatWood Forest was green and lush, teeming with life. When King Dalyn and the Prince were killed, the two second in commands fought over the right to rule. Corin, the Wyvern Princess, was backed by the dragon Shifters. Corik, her brother, was backed by the other shifters and warriors. Corin left with her court of dragons and found the Shadows. The Shadows agreed to build her a mighty fortress in a secluded area so that she may rule her part of the land. These two Armies became known as Echo and Hollow. They were both equally strong and both had equally grand fortresses.
Two years after the completion of the DragonFire Fortress, the Shadows attacked GreatWood. The beauty withered, and born was the ShadowForest. The Shadows took Blithe Lake, and the Golden Cemetery. Now these places are known as the Marshes and the forgotten Ancient Cemetery. The Shadows killed Corik and his elite guards. It's time for a new rise, a new crown. It's time for Destiny.
