Located in Persepolis, this is the economic district, with its bazaar - marketplace - and slave auctions. Prisoners of war, and their wives and children, are paraded in chains onto various wooden stages, and sold to Persian nobles. The prettiest of the captured women are bought by Xerxes himself - as concubines or entertainers.
