The cyriote ships were all lined up at the side of the greeks as Thais made her way to the water. She glanced at the persian side, a smile forming at her lips on thought of a great battle which was to lay before them. Thais was perhaps the only woman that loved war. She not only loved galloping towards the enemy, sword in one hand the reins in another, the horse's mane whipping her face softly, the roaring crowd cheering her onwards; but she also adored all those great spartans she could seduce or be seduced by over those few nights she spent in Sparta or in other towns she was fighting it. Soldiers had some damn good bodies but the best she'd yet seen were spartans' and persians'. Athenians were skinnier...
Thais was told not to wonder to far at night. Every persian would be willing to kill her. Maybe even rape her first. She was the woman men wanted for many reasons; most not even worth listing. But Thais was too brave. She wore something like a swimming costume: dark purple underwear and the the same bra, over her shoulders a black cloth. She let down her hair and wore the earings her mother wore at battle. Massive hoops. Actually those weren't her only accesories; she also had necklaces, rings and braclets allover her. She always wore alot of jewllery and somehow that made her look even better. She walked on down the beach, the water flowing through her feet, untill she reached the place she propabl shouldn't have come to...she reached the camp of Persia. But at first she didn't figure that out so she wonderd straight into the sea. The water played with her skin and a smile quickly formed at her lips when suddenly she saw a figure behind her...

"A god might ask himself...how foolish a woman must be to traipse so near the enemy at this time of night," Xerxes said calmly, though he allowed himself the pleasure of taking in her scantily clothed body. The dark haired beauty seemed particularly delectable, and dressed to fit the fantasy.
The king, too, was fond of jewelry, and he was dressed in very little but golden chains, having gotten news that there was an intruder near his camp. He'd decided to come alone, without the slaves and the entourage-and now he was very glad he did. No need, Xerxes thought to himself, to pull his blade or summon his soldiers. It was just a woman.
"Who are you, and what are you doing in my land?"

''Your lands? Only for now...'' smiled Thais that same smirk she that often played against her lips. ''I'm Thais, Queen of Cyprus.'' she replied as she slowy turned to the man,''Who told you I didn't know these were your lands? I'm not foolish. I'm just no coward.''she said stepping out of the sea and approaching the persian.
''So who are you then?''she asked him totally unaware he was their king's greatest enemy. Even if she knew, that wouldn't change much. There weren't many who Thais feared in this world.

''Your lands? Only for now...''
"Is that a challenge?" Xerxes replied stiffly, unable to tell what she found so amusing. The godking crossed his arms over his chest, one eyebrow arched expectantly. She was a queen. That surprised the king, though he strove to hide it.
"You do not...strike me as..." How to say this? "...a Greek queen might." Her fearlessness both intrigued and irritated Xerxes; he was a man used to being feared, and this woman showed nothing so satisfying. Even worse, she knew not who he was! Of all the humbling...
"Xerxes, God of Persia." He bowed slightly, so that his eyes were more level to hers. "My dear, fearless of not, I advise you scamper back to your husband before I make him regret letting you loose."

Thais rolled her eyes and laughed gently. Damn were persians funny. Did he even know that if a greek say that to her he'd be deady propably. ''Husband? They wish.''she smiled,''I'm the one and only ruler of Cyprus.'' she said, prepared for his shocked face. ''And I highly doubt you'd ever do much too harm to me, charming king of Persia.'' she said, a slight mock in her voice. ''Suprise, suprise.''she whispered turning back to the horizon which was faded in the night sky.

Xerxes didn't like to be laughed at, but he raised an eyebrow in curiosity at her words. "Oh?" He was surprised, and nearly didn't believe her. A little suspiciously the king admitted, You must be very strong indeed to hold a country without a consort. How does your military fare?"
Both out of curiosity for his own troops, and genuine interest. What did a woman know about war? Xerxes stepped forward at her mocking words, just behind her, but not touching. He snatched for her delicate, right wrist, tightening his grip-not quite painfully.
"It is unwise to underestimate me, Cyprian Queen. Your independence has made you very bold." His eyes dropped down her body with interest before he tilted his head to look at her face. "I could do a great many things to you, my lady. Not all of them would be pleasant."

Thais turned around and sharply pulled her wrist out of his grip. ''So could I. And mine aren't usually pleasant...depends on the person actually.'' she said taking a step closer to his face. ''And if you ask, my troops haven't lost a battle yet. The king of Sparta is honoured to have us help them out.'' she said, that smirk just never leaving her lips. ''I'm the only woman in Greece who has such power and respect, so King of Persia watch your words...'' she chuckled,''And hands she added tossing her brown hair out of her face. He was lucky she was in a good mood today and in their area or Thais wouldn't mind lifting her sword to compare their skills. ''So I see this is the first time you meet a real woman then.'' she finally added stepping and retaurning her gaze to the horizon.

Xerxes wasn't sure if he threatened her to teach her a lesson, or just to see how she would respond. He'd only met one other Greek woman who defied him, but even she hadn't snapped back in the way Thais did. The King of Sparta. The thought of Leonidas ignited rage in the Persian, and his face grew hard with annoyance.
"I imagine he appreciates your help for more than one reason," the king insinuated in little more than a growl, "You aid Sparta then?" He could barely spit the word out. He said nothing as she turned away, but his body nearly shook with fury. Gently, and it took a hell of a lot of effort, Xerxes slid his hands to Thais' shoulders, bronzed fingers catching her hair in the process. He stood behind her, but made no move to strike her-it was hard.
"I could say the same to you, Queen of Cyprus." It was his turn to smirk. "Do those Greek boys satisfy you?"

''I don't aid anyone. They asked for help and I was bored.'' she simply replied, retaurning her gaze at the persian. She noticed his hate for Sparta. ''Don't get upset, Sparta's just another city and Leonidis is just a king.'' she turned sharply to the persian lord. She watched the persian. ''And the greek boys? Oh their decent. Not all, but most.'' she added. She bit her lip slightly. The persian was intresting. She definatly never met a man that didn't fear her at all so she was quite enjoying this conversation or whatever it was.

She was bored?! This was his greatest moment, to conquer the one representation of defiance in all the world-his chance to grow in renown beyond his father, to redeem his country, to find himself regarded as a king on all continents! And she was bored?!
"Leonidas is a fool, not a king," the Persian replied scornfully, "To ally with him is madness." Though it did please him that she did not declare the Greek masters of love as well as war. Ah, how he despised them! His obsession, which he both needed and hated.
"I see," he said, daring to touch her throat with the back of hand, barely touching her. She had a fascinating figure. "And yet none of them appeal to you as King?"

Thais let him touch her without moving a muscle. She ran a finger down the persian's chest not caring if he had a problem with that. ''Ofcourse not. I myself am a King just in female form. So they call me Queen.'' she told him. Thais knew the king was suprised by her attuituide. Most greeks were at first but now they somehow got used to it. ''Actually...king of Persia, now I think about it you have something I want.''she said, the smirk retaurning to her lips.

When they were speaking a persian archer climbed the cliff. It took him an effort to get up there but he managed it. He had then peared down at the two lip reading what they were saying. The persian had immortal armour on and it was difficult to get up the cliff but then had whiped out his bow, and put an arrow in it. He now waited for his kings command to fire with him raising his hand.
"Come already your making me tense." he said at the top an arrow pointed at the women.

Thais heard the tighting of the arrow in the distance and glanced up. She chuckled,''If he thinks one arrow can kill me, he so deeply wrong.'' she told the king.

"Do I?" he asked, slowly stepping back, though he felt her finger still. The memory of it. He knew that one of his Persian archers was nearby, and trusted in the bow. Xerxes regretted this-now that he had met her, but he could not let a woman interfere with his triumph. No matter how beguiling. He wished to bring her into the way of the arrow, and to do so, the king risked it. He bowed his head and leaned forward to press a kiss to her cheek. If she did not shriek, he planned to draw her forward in this manner...
Xerxes nearly brushed his lips against the column of her throat when she spoke. And it so startled the king that he straightened abruptly. "Impressive. Know that it is not an indication of my displeasure with you." He did not wish her dead, but it was merely...work. "But how many would it take?"

''That depends on who arches them.'' ,''Wolves taught me how to listen.''she whispered leaning towards the King. ''Eagles to see, horses to ran.'' she added,''Don't think of me as a woman, think of me as an equal.'' She then took a step back and begin to speak,''What I need is your slave girl, Demetra. Name the price. Any price.''
