Thalia stood on a hill, looking out absently, dapple grey stallion grazing close by. Every day, for the past week, she had been anxiously waiting for Demetra to come home, She seemed to be the only one worried about her young daughter's absence that was over a week too long. Stelios didn't seem to be to be worried at all, in fact, he didn't even seem to notice she was gone. And her sons, the ones who protected Demetra so diligently, seemed to be too busy to even ask about her. The wind whipped her dark hair about her thin form as she looked across the horizon into the sinking sun.
She absently reflected on how much Demetra had grown, from sucj a small firl in swaddling clothes to a beautiful, bright-eyed young woman. A smile graced her features. She loved the little priestess so much...
She hoped anxiously that a horse would appear over the horizon, bearing either her daughter or some news of her absence. But, alas, the sun disappeared and the woman walked to her stallion, mounting quickly, and began home.

Stelios sprinted up the green hills its grass wavering in the breeze as his wife stood next to the tall lone tree that made the hill so noticeable form a distance, like a giant stood their waving his arms in the midst of a frenzy. His mind had drifted for the past week, thinking of his daughter, where was she? did she go of her own free will? was she taken? all these questions ran through the Spartans mind, yet he spoke not of the matter, to show he cared might possibly show weakness, yet when his love was around him he cared not for strength or honour but only the love he felt for Thelia, and so it was he strode up the hill proud in his marriage to such a fine woman, one that had bore him a daughter and 2 sons.
Alas he reached her, she looked at him at fist with a look of sorrow but soon settled her face hiding her feelings he thought, disappointed in her husband, who could blame her, no father should leave their child to wonder the lands, expcially his beloved daughter. "Hello m'lady" said Stelios with the utmost respect, he treated her as best as a Spartan could, after all only Spartan women gave birth to real men.

"Hello m'lady"
Thalia smiled slightly, her demenor quickly turning to the naturally sweet person she was, the person she could only be around her husband. "Hello." she replied in a soft, sweet voice, the winds caressing her skin softly. She was disappointed in her husband, but for some reason she could never stay that way long, she never ever could.
"Demetra has yet to return, I am beginning to worry." she said softly, her voice now serious as she looked out over the Spartan terrain.

"What would you have me do?" he said in a sad but stern voice, trying not to lose his demeanor as he asked his wife an honest question, one that he knew not a suitable answer, he stepped closer moving his hands to her hips, the grey stallion reared backwards as if afraid of the Spartan, as if backing down. The air was silent his cloak settled, all that he awaited was but a word from his wife, the one whom he lived for, the one he held above all even Sparta.

"What would you have me do?"
"I don't know." She responded, leaning against him as he put his hands on her hips. "I just think if she were needing a few extra days, she would have sent a messenger." she responded softly, closing her eyes and sighing. "I worry about her, she's stubborn and bull headed, just like her father." she teased.

"And shares the beauty of her mother and all that is fair about her." he said grinning as he pulled her closer, trying to fill in the chasm that had grown between them, letting the light shine the way through the dark times ahead. "Then if it will please you, I will find our daughter and bring her home." he said, for a moment it sounded so distant from the brave uncaring Stelios of the Spartan army, one who would use wit and strength to win the battle and keep his comrades moving, though often mixing words of sarcasm with wisdom, hoping his comrades wouldn't make the same mistakes he would.

Thalia smiled, pressing a soft kiss to his lips. "It would, but you need to be here, with the King, with your country, what if we were to go to war while you were gone?" she said practically. "Give it a month or so, if she is not back by then, then we shall go together."
