It was strange to be back home from such a long absense, from Spartan priestess to slave back to priestess again, it was hard to adapt. Demetra moved down the street, feeling oddly that her skin was too covered after being used to the belly dancer outfit for so long. She smiled at the thought, looking down at the dark blue dress she wore that showed off her sides and was held in place around her waist by a gold, link belt, her hair falling freely around her. She passed a young man, who nearly dropped the items in his hand to stop and look at her, and her cheeks turned a scarlet color.
She smiled at the young man, her lips parting only slightly to reveal the bottom of her top row of straight teeth, then continued walking.

Pausanias was awe struck, such a spartan woman left in the city? Had she not been grabbed up by the Ephors? She was stunning, like Gorgo. Obviously she was doing something to keep the ehoprs prying hands away. He was already courting a woman at the moment, but he would meet her and compliment her. Saving the acquaintance for another day. Right now he would try to just be friends, yes, that is the approach he would take.
He followed behind her, obviously she saw him and was flattered by the look. "M' lady, I am Pausanias of the Royal Agaid family, son of Dorieus. I just thought I had to compliment you. Truly, you must be a jewel of Aphrodite, and blessed by her. What is you name?"
He hoped he had not been to straight forward but it was true and he would not lie to her, not now at least. He was really hoping for right now for a friendship and a crush from the girl so that he may continue this later. He might have been a charmer and a player, but he would not court two women at one time. Every man has his limit, and this was his. It is true, he does have a bit of morality in him yet.

"M' lady, I am Pausanias of the Royal Agaid family, son of Dorieus.
Demetra bowed to the man, she knew who he was. Her head bowed slightly to show respect, bright blue eyes flashing in the early sun.
"I just thought I had to compliment you. Truly, you must be a jewel of Aphrodite, and blessed by her. What is you name?"
She blushed again, but kept her Spartan demenor. The man was handsome, and well connected, but she had no desire to be with a man, naught the passion. She decided to bless the man with her name, just this once, instead of stalking away as most would have.
"I am Demetra, daughter of Stelios, my good sir." She replied, staying polite.

Pausanias was impressed, Stelios had done well, he had a beautiful daughter who also upheld Spartan code. She was quite a spectacle. He knew she would likely be courted by the finest men of Sparta. He would wait though. He had a lady at the moment he was focusing on. Yes a strand of morality, he might have been a playboy and a pimp, but he would never pimp two women at the same time.
Demetra appeared to be fine quality wife material, right now he would just make a friend and hope to plant that seed of romance that could be cultivated at another time.
"Demetra you say? Are you not the one who was missing for quite some time in Sparta?" He seemed to be concerned for her, this was genuine actually. A Spartan lost was a pain felt by all Spartans.

"Demetra you say? Are you not the one who was missing for quite some time in Sparta?"
The girl nodded, her face now solumn, knowing no woman should have to have dealt with the humiliation and harassment she had. "Yes sir."
((I have no muse today, sorry...))[/size[

He saw that he struck a sensitive nerve. He drew closer to her.
"I am sorry, it must have been hard for you."
He was really sorry that he had brought up these memories. It may hurt his chances. He looked at her with sorrow and would try to comfort her.
(ah Thought I would better respond crappily than not at all.)

Demetra smiled, her face lighting up a little. She noticed the man had drawn closer, and she stepped back in turn. "I escaped with my Spartan pride, which is all that matters." she said with a smile, prefering not to have a man comfort her.
