She's brave, and tends to talk a lot. Anhurit is afraid of the Greeks, because they're intimidating, but she is willing to do anything diplomatically possible to save her country. When she was younger, she was self involved and spoiled, but things have changed and Anhurit has learned how valuable it is just to be alive. She also has a problem with impatience, and a twinge of that pharaoh-esque arrogance.
She thinks Xerxes is a mad man. The only true godking is a pharaoh.

Anhurit and her youngest brother are the last remaining members of the royal family; the rest of them have disappeared or been killed throughout the course of the Persian invasion of Egypt. Although currently under "Darius" rule, since Xerxes has become so preoccupied with Greece, Mshai thought it would be time to take the empire back. He's launched a rebellion, but the threatening Persian troops are overwhelming his rebels -
He sends his pregnant sister as an assurance to the Greeks, in asking that they help. He hopes that they are not so savage to murder a pregnant woman, and Anhurit is to beg assistance from Athens that they help. Upon arriving at the port in Athens, Anhurit was given an audience, but the Athenians don't really want to get involved with Egypt.
So. She's on her way to Sparta, with hopes that the Spartans will have hearts more easily moved. Kahotep is a Medji, one of the royal guards of the Egyptian family, one of the last real Egyptian soldiers left. Anhurit is his charge, and he will walk through Hell before he lets her get harmed.
